Window Guards

Window guards add an additoinal measure of protection once you've secured all of your door entrances; doing this doors alone offfers 95-100% protection for you personally.  We recommend you consider three factors to proceed with window guards:

1. if you feel uncomfortable or vulnerable about a window
2. if you want that window open for fresh air
3. if a window is secluded or has easy access

A fire release must be included on at least one window in a bedroom in case of fire.

We at Mascotte build our window guards from half-inch solid steel square bar, which has a mill scale on the surface. Most shops will paint over this mill scale, but this does not give the best surface for adhesion. We fully sandblast this coating off down to bare steel then the guard is phosphated, epoxy primed and top coated.

All of our doors and window guards have the designs painted independent of being attached. This allows paint to get to all surfaces. After being painted, the designs are attached to the doors or window guards.
