Storm Security Door
The Mascotte storm security door is the finest and strongest storm door available having patented and proprietary features not found elsewhere. Every aspect has been given detailed attention. The door comes with three panels of tempered glass for winter and exchangeable screen panels for summer. Open your primary door safely in the winter to allow more light, in summer to allow a breeze of fresh air to flow inside.
Patented Features make the Mascotte storm door unique and unequaled: an adjustable threshold system provides a fourth side of support plus extra strength for security, and our patented structural anti-pry addition eliminates access to the lock area with destructive tools. Proprietary Weatherstripping is our own PVC vinyl v-seal designed and made exclusively for Mascotte. By mounting the seal on the door, on both sides and the top, and facing it outward, the harder the wind blows, the tighter the seal.
Sweep on the bottom of the door also helps seal out the cold air.
Surface Mounting of the Mascotte security door is an important asset for installation. This means the door is installed directly onto/over the face of the door jamb or exterior brick molding of the building allowing us quick and easy installation with no structural change to the building in most cases and allowing access to the structural studs with our 5” one-way lag screws.
Paint Finish on the doors involves a four-step process for a proper finish, which means a great deal to you, the customer, for longevity of the door’s beauty. The door is
- dipped in a phosphate emersion to clean the steel
- sandblasted to help the paint adhere better
- covered with an epoxy prime coat and baked on at 400, followed by
- the baked-on topcoat finish color.
Mascotte is the only security door to receive this four-step process.
